When you reverse your smaller car up to a fence and then realise just how far away it still is .

My rear parking sensors go crazy with kerbs. Backing into a parking space and the tone will go from beeping to constant, but you know our not in because the whole of your bonnet is sticking out of the space.
Getting out to double check the rear for obstructions and I’ll find the car is still a good foot away from the rear, so you clean to double check all the mirrors and then gently back up just in case.

My wife drives her car as far forward as she can when she parks in the garage. Leaving about 5 feet behind her Honda Fit

I was riding with my boss, and he was paranoid he was about to back his brand new work truck into a fence the instant the rear parking sensor beeped once.
He stopped. I got out and layed on the ground between his bumper and the fence with room to spare. I am by no means a short man. A “ kiltedpadre” is now used as a semi-official unit of measurement at work.
